Elan Drug Technologies has successfully developed improved formulations of 35 products which have subsequently been launched in 100+ countries.

 

In the U.S. since 2001, 11 products have been launched that utilise our technologies, making us the most productive drug technology company during the period.

Our 35 launched products cover such therapeutic categories as CNS, Cardiovascular and Immunosuppression.

Avinza^®
Once daily, novel dual release morphine sulphate, marketed in U.S.



Emend^®
Oral table form of aprepitant, a poorly water soluble compound, marketed in U.S. and Internationally.



Focalin^® XR
Once daily dexmethylphenidate for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, marketed by Novartis in US, using SODAS^® technology.



Herbesser^® R
Once daily, high-potency, sustained release diltiazem for Japanese and other Asian markets.

 

 

Invega® Sustenna™ was approved by the FDA in July 2009 and is marketed by Janssen in the US.  This new once monthly extended release injectable formulation incorporates the NanoCrystal^® technology. Major benefits include, monthly dosing using a small bore needle with small volume needle, negating the need for a power injector, which can all help to improve compliance for schizophrenic patients. This is the first injectable product launched using the NanoCrystal^® technology. 

Luvox CR^®
Once-A-Day LUVOX CR^® (fluvoxamine maleate) Extended-Release Capsules for the treatment of social anxiety disorder (SAD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), marketed by Jazz Pharmaceuticals in the US, using SODAS^® technology.



Megace^® ES
Concentrated oral suspension of megesterol acetate utilising NanoCrystal^® technology, marketed in the U.S.

 

 

Naprelan^®
A once daily form of naproxen sodium using the Elan Drug Technologies IPDAS^® matrix technology, which allows for rapid disintegration and microdispersion in the gastrointestinal tract and reduced gastrointestinal side effects normally seen with naproxen.  Currently marketed in U.S. and Canada.



Rapamune^®
Oral tablet form of poorly water soluble rapamycin compound, marketed in U.S. and Internationally.



Ritalin^® LA
Extended-release formulation of methylphenidate with a bi-modal release profile, marketed in U.S.



Theodur^®
Twice-daily, sustained-release theophylline, marketed in Japan.




TriCor^® 145mg & 48mg
New formulation fenofibrate, which can be taken without regard to food, launched in the U.S. by Abbott.


Verelan^® PM
Once daily extended release, chronotherapeutic verapamil for U.S. market administered at bedtime.
