Where onset of action is delayed by poor dissolution, NanoCrystal® technology can offer an effective solution. In the example below, a NanoCrystal Colloidal Dispersion® formulation of naproxen (a pain relief medication) is compared with commercially available dosage forms, which take three to four hours to reach maximum plasma levels in the presence of food. A NanoCrystal Colloidal Dispersion® formulation of naproxen achieves significant plasma levels in less than 20 minutes, up to 12 times faster than commercial formulations.
